I am trying to make some cords / chains / necklaces that hold glasses. (you know, the chain that hangs around your neck that grips your glasses?) What are they called and where can I find them?

I am looking to make my grandma a handbeaded eyeglasses cord...the kind that keep your glasses around your neck.
Any ideas or advice. Do i buy the little plastic loop ends or do i buy a cheap one and just take off the ends. any cute ideas??
