my camera isnt dirty - dirty, but i dont want it to get all grimy and stuff.

do i need anything special? i clean the lens just with like a soft cloth [ like the ones used for eyeglasses ] but i dont know what to do for the camera body.

also, how often should i clean it?

i have a Fujifilm Finepix s2000 if that matters any.

Nah. Just give it a rub with almost anything when it gets dirty. It's just the body. You can even use a clorox or lysol cleaning cloth.

should I wear contacts or eyeglasses while I am taking picture to get images in focus on the film with a through-the-the lens manual focusing camera. Or does it matter at all?

Yes, the myopia makes a difference. You have 2 choices:

1) Wear your corrective lenses. You can buy eyepiece extenders for many cameras to make it easier.


2) Make use of the diopter adjustment. Many cameras have a built-in adjuster wheel near the viewfinder.

If you need stronger correction, some manufacturers (e.g. Canon), offer Dioptric Adjustment Lenses that fit over the eyepiece of your camera.

I am looking for optical grade microfiber cloth, the smooth kind that is used to clean eyeglasses and camera lenses, not the one with a rough texture used to clean cars. I need at least 18x12" of microfiber cloth to make a cover out of it. Plus, I'm looking for a black colored fabric. I've only been able to find light colored microfiber cloths up to 16X16" on the Internet. Where can I find this type of cloth for sale by the yard?

I bought a Kodak 10 megapixel black camera 2 weeks ago. No one knows about this not my parents or my sister but.... today I was cleaning my glasses in front of my camera. Some of the eyeglass cleaner accidentally got on the camera lens and I tried wiping it and it left straks. So I got a cotton swab put water on it and tried to clean it, it made it worse! The camera is fine but the lens is so blured! I don't know what to do any suggestions? Please I don't want to worry my parents.

for example, i dont want to take picture while wearing my eyeglasses in looking in the viewfinder.. now, if i adjust the lens according to my nearsighted vision which is clear to me, is there a difference in actual output of photos if i print it or preview it?

If the only thing you adjust id the Dioptre adjustment on the viewfinder than your images will not be affected, if there is no adjustment (your camera would have to be pretty old not to have one) then a add on one with the same script as your glasses can usually be purchased and slid over the viewfinder.
(you would have to check with the manufacturer as to what values are available for those dioptres.
If you adjust the lens to focus for your vision then the images will be blurred, remember the camera is not nearsighted.
