Eyeglass Accessories

Does anyone know where I can find things like eyeglass chains, clips and cases for children? I have had no problems finding accessories for adults, or even teenagers, but my 6 year old is getting her first pair of glasses today, and she needs a chain for them. Any help would be appreciated.
lol....yes, we tried every retailer in our area. They all suck! Wal Mart is actually where we're getting the glasses from. Thanks on the make it yourself though. I might end up doing that.

Why don't you go to a craft shop and buy a length of chain/cord (it does not necessarily have to be one for glasses) and then buy some beads, charms etc. to customize it? You should also be able to buy the links or clips you will need to attach it to the glasses. Your daughter will probably enjoy doing this herself as well, and it's good as if you buy lots of different beads, etc. at once you can constantly change the look!

It's been hard for me to pick outfits since I've wear eyeglasses.I think my previous clothes doesn't look good with this stuff.Is it also advisable to have bangs even if a wear eyeglasses?

Why do all eyeglass commercials have fashion models that look like they don't belong in eyeglasses. I need glasses to see. They aren't some trendy accessory, Take your fashion and shove it. You wouldn't ride a designer wheelchair and expect to get away with it. People who don't need glasses and wear them to be trendy should be shot.

My wifes glasses fall off of her face regularly, they are a fairly expensive, plastic, frame. We have repeatedly gone and got them tightened, but they just get wider within a few days. Lately, they have fallen off and broken, and we have ordered the same frame because it was cheaper and quicker getting here.

What I'm asking is, is there some rubber type things we can put onto the part of the glasses that go on her ears to make them stay on her face better? The lady at the glasses place said no, but I dont think she understood what we were talking about... We aren't looking for the cords that keep glasses around your neck, but rubber "pads" to put onto the glasses.

Did you try insisting on getting a replacement or refund from whereever you purchased the glasses???

I wish I had some specific advise on how to fix your problem, but the only thing I can say that you should not be stuck with glasses that don't fit well. You should not be responsible to fixing this problem. The people that sold these glasses to you should do the right thing and fix your problem or give you back all your money.

Next time you buy I would deal with:

Walmart (at least you know they will stand behind what they sell you)
or Optical4Less (a great retailer that also stands behind everything they sell and with great prices to boot).

I don't need eyeglasses, in fact I have 20/20 vision, but I love the way eyeglasses look. Do you know of anywhere where I can buy glasses only for an accessory? Actual internet URLs would be very helpful. Thanks a million!!!

Claire's Boutique in the mall. Sometimes the real eyeglass stores will sell you the samples and they have sooooo many to choose from. The lenses are just clear. Try Vision Works , Pearle, etc.
