Computer Eyeglasses

Is this statement true: "Since 2001 in Japan, the USA and many of the EU countries it is strictly mandatory to have a computer eyeglasses at each workplace [equipped with a computer] and this is regulated by the labour legislation."?

my cousin works in Europe and he uses computer eyeglasses eyeglasses, in the US I've never heard of such thing, I don't know about Japan.

I do not wear eyeglasses at all. But I want to protect my eyes because I am on the computer a lot. Where can I get this eyeglasses?

To protect your eyes from what ?

There are no rays of any kind emitted from a monitor, and unless you are wearing glasses, there is no glare.

Glare doesn't come from the screen, glare is what happens on your glasses lenses if they don't have an anti reflection coating. Glare is just the reflected light from the screen on the lenses...but if you don't have glasses on, there is no glare.

So, if you don't have to wear glasses, then there are no such thing as protective glasses needed for the computer.

Frequent breaks and keeping the monitor a good 30 inches away is all the protection you need from getting eyestrain.

An eyeglass is also the same with a magnifier glass. It magnifies a picture or an object. So does the effects of radiation to our eyes strengthen when we use eyeglasses?

eversince i am using computer in my work, my grades went up for some time. my eye doctor told me to relax my eyes from time to time to avoid further rising of the grade as well as tiredness of eyes. you need to look at something cool color to rest the eye.
right now i am wearing glasses that is ultra thin and with uv protection. it is the progressive type of lens

Reduces headaches and eye strain
Scratch coating on the lens

It's probably the anti reflection coating that has gone defective. If that's what it is, nothing can be done to remove it.

Are there any glasses available that offer this feature?
I want a pair of glasses to wear that will shield my eyes. I understand that glare ruins our rods and cones. I do not need corrective lenses, for I have good eyesight. Are there any glasses available like this?

.You can also ask your Optometrist about eyeglass lens tints and coatings that can reduce glare for eyeglasses that dont have corrective lenses
