I have a round face, and I currently have oval frames and it really does not flatter my face (makes me even look chubbier!). I have chosen several rectangular frames that I like below and I also put up my recent pictures. Please tell me which frame(s) do you think would look the best for my face shape and skin tone. The reason I chose the frames below is because I have strong prescription so full rim is the best, and I also would like to look professional yet trendy. Thanks so much in advance!

hey! my face is a little on the round side too lol. anyways, i wear contacts but i do own glasses which i sometimes wear so i feel like i've been in your shoes a little. anyways, my favorites would have to be number 5 and number 2. i like number 3 also. for you, i'd choose number 2. here's my rundown:
1. the shape is kind of curvy and not only am i not liking that but it wouldn't flatter you.
2. the color would match with a lot of outfits and i think it would really look good on you. my glasses look a bit like that, except they're black.
3. they're ok but the frames are really thick.
4. definitely not! the frames are super thick and that color would look terrible on you.
5. love them and i think you should definitely consider them.
6. the same problem as the first. besides that, i just really hate them for some reason. idk, i don't really like marc jacobs in general.
7. you could consider these for your face shape but to me, they seem very bulky.
my choice of either 2 or 5 remains. the best thing you could do though is to try them on and think about what you like because in the end, your opinion will matter much more than mine.
I want to get a pair of glasses, but I can't decide to choose which material of eyeglass frames, who can tell me the different of plastic frames, metal frames and titanium frames!

the point is style not the material
I'm looking for new prescription eyeglass frames (not sunglasses) for a 13 year old girl. I want to choose a brand that is "in" - something that is high end, prestigious and well-known. The price must be US $500 or less. Thank you.
In a side note, what do you guys think of the brand "Lafont"? Is it in the same league as D&G, Prada and Bvlgari, or am I totally off-base?
D&G makes eyeglasses and so do DKNY, Prada, Burberry, Bvlgari, and Versace. Armani Exchange also makes eyeglasses.
Most teens who wear designer frames choose D&G, which are recognizable due to the large "D&G" lettering on the temples. Prada, Burberry, Bvlgari, Versace, and Ralph Lauren have smaller lettering on the sides and are typically more "classic." Meaning that it will probably be easier to find D&G in bright colors than Prada in bright colors.
Many teens also pick Vogue, which isn't a high-end brand but is pretty popular.
Generally all of the brands I mentioned are priced at about $300-400 per frame which is within your price range. It might be a little too much for a 13-year-old (I'm 13) since we teens move around a lot and if she's not extra careful, she may damage them. But if she's responsible enough and takes care to wipe her lenses off a few times every day and use a case when she's not wearing them, it's worth the investment since designer frames are so pretty and fairly strong. :D

I posted this question few hours ago, and based on the answers I got I just refined the options. Your input would be very useful for me to make the final choice before I bought a frame online.

A] do not pick a yellow toned color, like tortoise, amber, or olive - will make face look sallow. Stick to 'cool' tones: blues, purples, grays. blacks.
B] Review of glasses:
1] great - try them in 'ruby'
2] OK in black
3] try them in 'smoke'
4] try in 'havana'
5] second fav - try 'transparent' or black
6] black
7] least fav - black
I got my first pair(s) of glasses today and I chose frames that do not cover my entire field of vision. That is below my eyes to the sides and under etc.. is exposed, as I was told is normal and you will learn to not notice it. It is a much smaller field of vision than I am use to and am wondering if the dual focuses will damage my eyesight or focus over time? Should you choose the biggest lens possible for ideal vision health?
no , they don't deteriorate , but the larger they are the larger your clear field , if you felt tired by yours change them .
Halifax Beauty Maven: Choosing Eyeglass Frames for Your Face Shape ...
When it comes to choosing eyeglasses, one of the most important aspects is to look for frames that complement your face and your unique coloring. You don’t want to have to try on a dozen pairs or more before you find the pair that is perfect for you. As you search for a style of eyeglasses that complements your face, consider these tips. Eyewear should bring out your very best feature in the most flattering manner possible. In other words, if you have blue eyes, frames that are blue or that have a blue tint to them would look fantastic on you. Always choose a shape of frame that contrasts with your face shape. In other words, a person with a round face should not choose round frames. As well, the size of the frame should fit the size of your face and should be to scale. Do not choose eyeglasses that overwhelm your face but do not go too small either.
