What do you think of these black Prada eyeglass frames?

Here is the link: http://eyeglasses.go-optic.com/enlarge.a sp?id=21227&cat=DFRAMES

I am a female, 5'4", slender build, with dark brown hair, fair skin, and hazel eyes. Think these black Prada frames would look alright? The stripe on the side is silver metal.
Haha. In response to my personality, I am a law student who is into art and Icelandic music. I love wearing black (but not Goth black) and have a Manhattan-personlity.

I have the same kinda body and hair and everything and I wear glasses. I actually used to have a pair of glasses that looked almost identical to those. And I ALWAYS got complements on them!

Hey guys! So I finally got around to doing this after... forever! Haha, sorry it took so long! This would have been up on Wednesday, but it failed ...

Does anyone know what the style of eyeglass frames that Malcolm X wore is called?

They are classic, and I believe that that particular style has a name, I just don't know what it is. They are not like the ones that Buddy Holly wore, and they are not cat eye glasses. The top part and the legs are plastic (I think), and the bottom part of the front is metal. I want to find some frames online of this style, but I cannot do it unless I have the name of the style. Doing google searches for "eyeglass frames" and "Malcolm X" produces very limited results.

they're called browlines.

What's the difference between men's and women's eyeglasses frames?

I picked out rx 8584 style Ray-Ban frames at LensCrafters, and they are labeled women's, but I don't understand why some frames are women's and others are men's. I can tell some frames are obviously more feminine than others (cat eye style).

I'm getting them, because I really like them. I just don't know what the difference is.
That's what I'm asking. What makes a style masculine or feminine? The ones I'm getting look more masculine to me than feminine. Titanium frames with red temples.

there is no objective difference, like you said, women's ones are meant to have a more feminine design, but a lot of them are rather unisex, size might also be a difference.

Can I put in new prescription lenses into my old eyeglasses frame?

I have a really awesome pair of cat eyeglasses, but the lenses don't match my eyes. I just basically want to use to frames, but put new prescription lenses into it. Do Lenscrafters do this, and how much would it be?

It can be done, but it is at your own risk. Because the frame is old, the company doesn't make it anymore- This just means that if the frame breaks they won't be able to get replacement parts. Fitting your new lenses into another frame would be much more difficult, so if your current frame breaks you'd likely need to buy new frames AND lenses again to replace them.

What is the best hairstyle for an overweight, 51 yr. old woman, who has bangs and wears eyeglasses?

My hair is currently straight, all one length and is about 4 inches below chin level. It is in excellant condition. It is salt 'n pepper/brown in color. I do not want to color or dye. It sometimes can be fly-away. My eyeglasses frames are plastic angular and slightly cat-eyed in shape. I want a style that is easy and requires a single styling product and a litlle blow drying.

Get your money together and go to a really good hair stylist who can answer your question far better than I can. Before they actually cut it, make sure you have a long conversation so you know exactly what you are getting into, and they know exactly what you want. Expensive but worth it in the longrun.

  • When Choosing Eyeglass Frames – Which is Better Plastic or Metal ...

Most of today’s eyeglass frames are made of strong durable materials.I think that whether you choose plastic or metal frames is a personal choice because both will last a long time.I have purchased plastic and metal frames and they have both lasted a long time. One of the main advantages of using an online eyeglass store is because you can see a variety of both kinds. Usually most styles come with a choice between metal and plastic frames and it is a matter of personal choice which you prefer.

Another type that I have found that I like is the rimless frames. That is because they are light weight and comfortable to wear. You can find stylish eyeglass frames that come in many different colors and materials. You can find designer fashion frames in both plastic and metal. Since every one has a different style or preference it is fun to browse the online stores to see all of the different styles that are available.
