What era are my antique eyeglasses from?
vintage little bisque doll hand painted

I purchased a pair of antique eyeglasses from a large antique store. They can be seen here : http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i245/t imelss-shadow/SDC10317.jpg

Can anyone tell me what year they are from?
They are US made also. In the nose band it has a faint USA etched into the metal.

Gold value of antique eyeglasses?
project 365: 2.6.11

What's the gold value of a pair of antique eyeglasses? They look like the kind of glasses Ben Franklin wore (I doubt they're that old), the frame is highly crafted, and they have markings that indicate they're 18k gold. Is it worth turning them into a jeweler for their gold value, or are they worth more as an antique?

Probably worth more as an antique, depending on the age. Try looking into that.

    1. We've been flooded with orders over the past month, and we're just about caught up. Thanks for your patience if your glasses have taken a few extra days to complete. To reduce turnaround time, we're now ordering your lenses the day we receive your prescription, rather than placing a single mass order per week. This will reduce wait time to about one week.
