You are right to go over what is new in your life - because that's where the cause most likely lies.
It would be a good idea to have your ears checked as otitis media can definitely cause one to feel giddy.
If it isn't caused by your ears, then it could very well be the new glasses - both types.
Alternately, look at what else is new in your life - are you on a new script? [I was once on a prescribed antibiotic and THAT made me dizzy!]

Well the numbers in a prescription basically just mean the power needed in the lens to get the light to focus on the retina to obtain clear vision!
Just to put it simply: when a person is farsighted/hyperopic their eyeball is too short and the light comes into focus behind the retina. To correct this a plus (+) powered or converging lens is needed to bring the light back to focus on the retina.
When a person is nearsighted/myopic their eyeball is too long and the light focuses in front of the retina. To correct this they need a minus (-) powered or diverging lens to bring the light into focus on the retina.
The number in a persons prescription is just the strength of lens needed to bend the light to focus on the retina.
Technically 0.00 or plano is the lowest number and has no correction. From there it goes up in quarter increments +0.25,+0.50,+0.75,+1.00 etc.... The same goes for minus prescriptions -0.25, -0.50, -0.75, -1.00 etc... and they can get pretty high like prescriptions like -18.00 exist for example!

I only bought my eyeglasses 2 weeks ago and just picked them up last week. I really do not like them so I would like to exchange them for a better pair.I bought them on the 2 for 1 price deal.The 1 pair is okay,but the 2 pair, does not fit me that well and do not look right on me. I would be willing to pay more for something I realy like.Would they exchange them for me?

You should call the store and ask them what their policy is on exchanging glasses.
They could be nice and understanding about it and exchange the one pair and charge you the difference in price for another pair. Or they can be jerks and offer to make you another pair of glasses for the full price and not accept the other pair. The ONLY time I ever heard that an Optical place took back glasses for a full refund was when you couldn't see out of them.
Call them and see what their policy is. If you expect to be a return customer, they may work with you on this.

the paint on the glasses is an acrylic primer such as 1.2.3 or gripper

It depends on the material that the lenses are made of and the coatings you have on the lenses. Your best bet is to take them back to where you got them and have them do it, they have stuff that might work and won't hurt your lenses. Do not use nail polish remover....if you have polycarbonate lenses it will ruin them to pieces if it has acetone in it!
