I was chasing some men's black to clear (crystal) coloured eyeglasses. Of a quality seen in the American Optical 1950s brand. I am chasing either deadstock / original frames or contemporary reproductions / similar styles.
Go on ebay, and put in a request for them, someone probably has a pair in a drawer.
beginnings in 1926 through glasses worn by Diana Dors in the 1950s to 1980s tennis racquet glasses. ... V&A Oliver Goldsmith glasses ...
I have a poodle skirt and cat eyeglasses......so should i wear blue eyeshadow and ice pink lipstick or what?
I asked my 58 year old mom for you and she said "Blue eyeshadow and ice pink would make you a cool girl, the square girls stuck to just basic red lipstick, but applied heavily."

There's a warning on the plastic packet these 3-D glasses come in. It says not to wear them as sunglasses or outside the cinema. It's a pity, really, because they cut it pretty well as a fashion accessory.
But you only have to put them on to discover they're much more. Take children's flick Coraline, for instance — the glasses have transformed the screen into a floor-to-roof-sized Magic Eye canvas. The perception that you could walk into the film without bumping the glass is uncanny on first view. The on-screen action feels like it's within arm's reach rather than 30 rows away, too.
Of course, 3-D isn't only making its mark in the cinema. TV companies are already flaunting prototypes for 3-D-enabled TVs, pumping serious coin into research and development and extolling the virtues of the technology — Samsung commercially released a 3-D TV in Australia last year. But are consumers really going to hook up 3-D TVs at home, or are we witnessing another fad — reminiscent of the 3-D flops of the 1950s and '80s — in the making?
Branded Male: Fashion plays Hockney
At last I've managed to get back to you with a post about men's fashion week here in Paris. I attended only a handful of shows, but for me what happens on the runway is probably the least interesting element of these events. I relish the ambiance at the start of a show, which always reminds me of the beginning of a bullfight. It's a carnival of arrivals, greetings, seating, fidgeting, loud conversations and waving of invitations in front of perspiring faces. Circling PR people with walkie talkies dart nervous glances around the room and direct stragglers to their places. Compared to this lengthy and complex social interplay, the actual event is short, sharp and brutal. Even the clothes are more interesting off-piste than on. The runway is a glimpse of the future. But you can get a very accurate idea of current male fashions by looking at the journalists covering the shows. They dress to be seen and snapped by armies of trailing bloggerazzi. This season, taupe jackets, heavy 1950s eyeglasses, waistcoats and bow ties were all in evidence. And when they weren't wearing shorts, they wore their trousers at half-mast, showing a stratum of sock or an escarpment of bare ankle. in Brazil.
